Hot Asphalt Paving and Repair
- Damaged areas in need of repaving are cut out and the old asphalt removed
- If necessary, new, processed dirt is brought in
- Three inches of new asphalt is used and then compressed using a plate compactor or a four-ton vibratory roller
New Driveway
- Remove all existing asphalt from driveway
- Remove any unsuitable base material, i.e. large rocks, soft dirt, or vegetation
- Install processed stone where needed to have a secure base
- Processed stone is then compacted
- One-by-three inch pieces of wood are installed around perimeter of driveway for neatness
- Install new hot asphalt at a spread of three inches
- It is then compacted using a 3-ton vibratory roller
