Laser Line Striping

As we pound the streets and look at the ground we walk on, we sometimes fail to realize all that went into making these streets and sidewalks. In order to have come this far in technology there had to be a beginning and the industrialization of a country is a process that never ends. The world was a green place prior to the existence of man and it was our manifest destiny to not only explore the world around us, but make it into a comfortable place for us to live in. The intricacy of asphalt is detailed and sometimes over looked, so let us give it a closer look.

Asphalt is thick dark-brown substance that is made from crude oil. Asphalt gets its dark and rich coloring from the large amount of carbon in its components. It is used because of its durability on roads, runways, playgrounds and parking lots. Asphalt paving lays down the substance and smoothes the surfaces. The better options of asphalt paving opposed to concrete are numerous, it is easy for laser line striping, snow can be removed easily, it does not frost, and care and maintenance is low. These qualities are the reasons why asphalt paving is preferred and its’ cheap price is definitely a plus. Laser line striping is a sort of decorative method for asphalt because traffic flow lines can be painted on with ease.

Traffic Flow

Americans are infatuated with the high-life and prefer driving sporty automobiles that aren’t necessarily fit the urban environment. These amateur speed racers should appreciate the benefits that laser line striping and asphalt paving allow them. Driving a sporty automobile in a country that did not have a defined road system would make traffic flow difficult, so those cars would not be practical. Third world countries rely on a different form of traffic flow that is not exactly standardized, and laser ling striping isn’t even a thought. Traffic flow is controlled by right of way instead of traffic laws, so be kind to the road!

Care and Maintenance

Asphalt paving and laser line striping is only half of the job in road production. Seal coating is a part of the care and maintenance of a road that can sometimes be forgotten. Seal coating should be reapplied to asphalt paving roads every two or three years. This is also to prevent the laser line striping from fading away with time. Cars drive on roads and they sometimes leak oil and gas, with seal coating the laser line striping will not deteriorate.
