Driveway Seal Coating

• The pavement surface is thoroughly cleaned using wire brooms and a 14-horse power blower
• Edges of driveways with weeds and grass are cut back using a gas-powered weed whacker
• Oil spots are scraped with wire brooms to remove accumulation of dirt and grease
• Severely damaged asphalt due to oil is treated with a primer but it cannot be guaranteed that sealer will adhere
• A healthy application of commercial-grade Tarconite sealer is applied at a minimum rate .16 gallons per square yard. Five pounds of sand is added to each gallon to provide a skid resistant surface
• Also, the additive Armorflex is included to enhance durability, blackness, and dry time
• The sealer is applied by hand via squeegees and brushes
• Wait a 24-hour period before utilizing the driveway
• Power steering from front tires of a car could leave scuff marks for the first week after sealing. They will disappear
